Videos played from Kaltura (accessed via the Video Portal or Moodle Media Gallery) offer different ways of viewing recorded lectures. These often contain synchronized recordings, allowing the viewer to choose the most appropriate content for their needs.
Selecting Sources
Recordings conducted in Colby's large auditoriums will record multiple streams on content, often including a wide view of the front of the classroom, board cameras, and projected content. Viewers may choose which streams to watch, but only two can be shown at once. To access hidden streams, follow these steps:
- Click on the Hide button.

- This will reveal thumbnails of all available sources. Click on on your preferred source's center Swap icon to watch it.

- Alternatively, if picture-in-picture is preferred, click the Show button again. Then click on the ... (Show more screens) icon.

- For the source you'd like to watch, click the appropriate icon to set its screen position. For example, the left mostly white square icon (
) will have the video fill most of the screen. The right icon (
) will fill the smaller inset window.
Toggling Sources (swap picture-in-picture)
- Select the Switch to Primary Screen button to swap which image is primary and inset.

Set Layout
- Click on the Side by Side Screens button to switch to side-by-side mode.

- Instead of a picture-in-picture view, the two sources will now appear beside each other like this:

- To return to picture-in-picture, click on the Expand Screen icon on the video that you would like to be the largest.
